The week that is..
It has been a long time since I have written…Hurricane Sandy, our relief efforts of 9000 plus volunteers, then my wife passed away, after two years of home hospice, and just back into feeling like I can share again.
Certainly this week with the anniversary of Hurricane Sandy being five years is one good reason.
Also our journey to our 30th anniversary celebration is another…and last our work to help
Be part of relief efforts in Puerto Rico (my wifes family from there) personally moved me to write some thoughts.
Our efforts are blessed, yes BLESSED by God with our volunteers…..our ministry of love has been a long journey in action and love…from helping to rehab a rundown three unit condo in yonkers, to helping to start a new neighborhood in white plains, of 6 new homes, to moving a family out of harms way whose 3 year old was shot and killed and we moved them into a new home.and to relief from Mamoroneck to sandy has been unbelievable. From deep sadness to great joy, from distressed homes to energy efficient….from substandard hoods, to NMU and hoods for good…
I will be sharing 30th anniversary stories to help hilite this journey and ask for your prayers and support as we move ahead to build and rebuild…
With that in mind in all we say and do we say thanks to God for you..
