FW: blog

Another amazing volunteer day..working hard, helping making life amazing.

With that in mind we continue..we work we move we build and rebuild.

Today we have St Marys Arlington Virginia still helping us! Amazing

Also MaryMount School volunteering, both for a week. The A team high school leaders are here too.

And also we had a great day with @cisco @GoldmanSachs Morgan Stanley and @Momentive volunteers all in one day yesterday.

The Importance of #volunteerism can not be underestimated. Our high volume of volunteers have saved lives, assisted with rebuilding communities and neighborhoods and also with helping floods and Hurricanes as in Irene and Sandy.

Without them, thousands would have died, suffered and still been homeless.  Fema stated to me,

You gave 8 million dollars of volunteer labor to the rockaways Breezy effort…….ah…

Thank God for #volunteers…join us in a #volcation or a #staycation..the world needs you..learn to build and rebuild this summer, learn to help the Restore, learn to give life another chance for someone, with hope and help…you will never be the same.

The fights continue…politics and people….homes affordable versus….uh..not living? What do those in positions think…most exited state for a reason NY….people leave, die in substandard housing, struggle to eat or have heat..

It makes no American Sense, no faithful sense, no economic sense.. Our Mission continues now more than ever.

We have to have affordable living in NY now..there is no question.  With that in mind, we continue..the blessings of life to change the face of NY, of Sandy families, of seniors and vets, of working Joes and Joses and Natalies.

May God bless you in all you do. Join us in this vital mission ..its time!
