Without friends, we don’t accomplish what we need to, like Tom  and Mary and Pat, and John..and Dan and BRC and Kol Ami and more…join us friend..

The state of the union, the president speaks, people with lifetime pensions and healthcare that we can never get, clap up and down, two parties, three parties, four parties, tea parties, coffee parties, all clap…hooray..

We will work together..no more debt please on both parties…yesterday a company asks to volunteer..can you give us a donation..they say we cant..i asked him to realize we pay for supplies,teaching their employees with paid staff with no government monies, and end poverty for a family…interesting times.

 

Yesterday I was blessed to stop by two old friends, at Church of the Highlands, and also Trinity Lutheran in White Plains,…both getting to help us on our homes there…What a blessed week.  The foundation is being set…time to change things for the better..to help us to help get everyone a home…creatively..think just think, imagine..cant we do this, cant every congregation, Jew Christian Muslim, build together..this is the DECADE OF SERVICE TO DO THIS! THE TIME IS NOW….THINK BIG, IN HABITATS NAME, IN GODS NAME…THE RESULTS WILL BE AMAZING…God bless you

Whos happy today, what fans, whose depressed, over a football being missed or passed or kicked or lost..the energy we put into sports supercedes rationality..the energy to believe in God…and thank Him..no matter what faith, what parties do we have for Him,…what t shirts do we wear, what tv do we watch…who do we fight with over Him..opposing non believers..the world is funny, we forget the important things…Yesterday 60 volunteers didn’t…they went to work in the cold on homes..they prayed together, Muslim Christian Jew…they saw no difference no opposing team…whose team are you rooting for..Im for Habitat, and for the blessings the one God gives us to help on another…everyone a home…

We worked on ten homes, helped families, and helped to send support for two homes to Haiti.  What a great weekend…more than 150 volunteers working all over the county, helping us keep the Dreams come true…Yet the county is getting sued by HUD< not in 195 but in 2010…dividing lines are hidden by realtors, and prejudice and economic discrimination is alive and well…we need a paradigm shift …a change in our work to see all families have a home…we have made developers the heros, while families are burdedned with property taxes…we have made little workforce homes and jobs for those here, while millionis leave NY…time for CHANGE...the winds of change are in order, with hearts hammers and habitat..

Today we continue, we work hard, we fight  foreclosures, we fight debt, we bring back community, we fight for lives, we build homes, we prepare concrete and gravel…we have volunteers helping…what are you waiting for…..

The book of Isaiah states in Ch 43, we will change the wastelands into rivers..a new land..that is what we do, on the abandoned streets, in the neigborhoods that  need change.. join us!!!!

This weekend we welcome the New Rochelle Interreligous council working together on sites..so important, so vital to our work that all faiths come together and help work on projects…

Thank you…each congregation should be sponsoring home, giving a tithe, helping to sponsor a room, come and build…stay tuned..our Faith Based Kickoff will welcome all to build with us again strongly…the Ruah is working, the Spirit of God that built the temples, the steeples, the peoples placesof worship, now build homes..

In Ch 17 of Luke it says if you have Faith, you can move mountains….and we can build affordable homes in a county that denied it…an d now is paying for it…we will move mountains and build many many more homes in this county, we will be building in Peekskill and Shrub Oak and in Larchmont and in Yorktown and inYonkers, and even Scarsdale…can you believe it…join us in this exciting mission.WE have built in Larchmont and Somers, in Bedford, and are grateful…

This weekend our 13^th Annual Martin LutherKing weekend…we believe that all can have a Dream, Chrsitian Jew Muslim, Hindu, faith no faith, that God wants us to build the Kingdom here, a new Jerusalem..for all to have a home

Yesterday a Rabbbi calls me..can my teens come out with you and my synagogue, of course, we need a new Israel in Westchester.. a new Kibbutz, that people care…

We pray for one another as we hang up..

Are you ready to join…Marty and his son, say, can we come out again….a school writes, when do we come out…a company volunteers, not with tax dollars but with volunteer sweat equity…Its TIME !!!!!!

We have much to do, God is blessing us, …we have many volunteers from Illinois and from Pennsylvania…

We appreciate so many of our workers…today we welcome local reporter Leah Rae, covering our work and support of Haiti..we thank Carpet One and the Lanza family foundation for helping us..support two more homes as well..

With that in mind, here in New York in Westchester, our volunteers continue to rise…the number of foreclosures as well we are helping with.

We need to change this obscene situation of the foreclosures. We also need tohelp repair homes green and help to build new homes…all of this can be done with your help hands and hearts..and financial support.
