FW: blog

To Live in Peace, Biblical Faith and the Changing Inner city, is one book, I am blessed to look at now…telling of the story of Baltimore and Harlem, with biblical references for great community development…be they Christian or Jewish..though the book comes from a mostly Christian perspective…The theology of the Hammer welcomes Muslim, Jewish and Christian leaders and congregations to love one another and work together, to build community together…To Live in Peace….the author is Mark Gornik…and having been in Baltimore I saw transformation of Sandtown Baltimore from the New Song ministry.

Millard Fuller God rest his soul, founder of Habitat, would always say, Jim…you got to go see what these brothers and sisters are doing there…in a deep southern accent…

All we do, all of Habitats success from here to New Orleans, to S. Central LA to Charlotte, to El Salvador to Belfast to Haiti, is based upon ministry..

This weekend at Leahman College youth will sing and then build with us, to help change our work, to help us be filled with the Ruah, the Hebrew word for Spirit and help us change communities together..

Where are our Sandtowns of Westchester, Union Ave Mt Vernon, Elm Street Yonkers, Union Ave New Rochelle..your neighborhood?

Join us in prayer and action as we seek to lift up communities, with grassroots faith based efforts, with action in place! And Homes being built..homes of love no matter what congregation built them, no matter what hands, no matter whose sweat equity…God has blessed us….
