Fw: blog

election day...what a day, Historic voting, praise God, exciting no matter what side you fall on, to see people particpating..and then tomorrow, after 2 billion dollars....in advertising for media and campaigns, the hammer falls tomorrow...the hammer comes down on us..on the taxpayer, on the budget..fortunately tomorrow, i have been asked to meet with Governor Patterson, in a PBS special town meeting on where to cut the budget...THE CRISIS IS THE OPPORTUNITY... in that vain, we see that the Governor has called for budget cuts, he had the wisdom before the hammer fell, too ask for cuts..he did it in march of last year...and now he is calling for more cuts.. a wise man, he is also calling for increased volunteerism...thru thick and thin we at habitat and here, have always believed in Volunteerism..always believed in getting ourselves up by the bootstraps and helping community, the litany of projects from painting post office benches, to helping fire victims, to helping with a variety of other areas such as rehabbing food pantries, under our Brush with Kindness program has been extensive.. i commend the governor and also I have proposed a COMMON SENSE PARTY run for office, like we ask people to give of service, our youth in americorp, peacecorp and in times of war and peace, we need to ask  people to volunteer their time, in public service, to get elected..
this will save taxes and save our state and county in a  big way...and increase our volunteerism...
so heres to Governor Patterson, budget cuts, a new spirit of fresh volunteerism, asking not what your country or county can do fo ryou, but what you can do for your county and for Habitat..and for brush with kindness projects..heres to much success...God bless us all during these interesting times, the worst of times, but the BEST OF TIMES, if we all help out...stay tuned...
