almost here the holidays...running around, the pressure of buying or not buying, having or not having, the challenge during these economic times...watching tv filled iwth impeachments in Illinois..Mad money Madoff and somehow the holiday gets lost...
however this weekend, people always come out the week before Christmas and Hanukkah to volunteer with us, to get involved to do something good.
Yesterday i had a family come into my office to see about getting help from being evicted out of the Avalon...they had run into tough times, they had not been able to make it..they had had misfortune...like so many out there, living in challenging ways...they now may end up in a shelter..we are seeing about a mortgage foreclosure assistance program.. and eviction assistance..I call one agency that its mission is just that..to stop evictin..we can t help them we are stretched....not easy times..pray for this family and for us today as we try to help them as we also move the next family in...our work is so vital.jjk
