Well in my book the Habitat crew coming from Maine this Sat. to work for a week are my NCAA heroes, our March Madness heroes...the basketball team was in the NCAAS a great effort and they will come and volunteer too, coach Sanicola promises...but the first A Team is here, this Saturday, with eleven strong volunteering for the tenth year with us...
So heres to the basketball team, all teams and to the thousands of Habitat for Humanity Service Teams, NCAA MARCH MADNESS HEROES, traveling across the county and the country and the world in service.....MARCH MADNESS HABITAT STYLE...CHANGE THE WORLD...in the morning Rise, give your Voice to the One God who wants us to succeed, get involved with Service and be a March Madness Hero Habitat style!
My high school habitat heros came together last nite at Iona college, new high schools from Pelham< Harrison,
they build, they walk, they work on habitat sites...stay tuned a Habitat cafe is coming down the road...with the New Rochelle High School club...now my first high schoolers are working with Senators, or at the Gap or in the workforce and come back as alumni...no question...we are going to be creating a Habitat of Westchester Alumni Fan page on Facebook, stay tuned..
